Bobbie is music’s biggest fan, especially live music; she also likes to spend her time exploring this amazing, harrowing, crazy, sometimes creepy, always exciting world through the lens of children, the elderly, professional events, volunteer efforts, parenthood and outdoors.


Bobbie Garner-Coffie has been an academic technology specialist for more than 15 years. Working closely with instructors, colleagues and
administrators, Bobbie strives to infuse technology best practices into teaching and learning. Her expertise training adult learners with varying
degrees of understanding as well as knack for communicating tech jargon to the “everyday” user has earned acknowledgements. Bobbie coadministers
the LMS at Tulane University, managing third-party integrations and specialized projects. Bobbie cultivates learning materials for
training seminars and workshops and other resources for the Faculty Technology Lab. Her interests are in online and virtual learning (AR/VR/MR)
and their impact on campus teaching, course and program design as well as student learning. Bobbie holds a Bachelor of Science in Applied
Computing with an emphasis on business systems analysis and a minor in Health and Wellness. She recently completed coursework to receive her Master
of Liberal Arts degree at Tulane University.
