Biography

Lisa Stephens, PhD – serves as Senior Strategist of SUNY Academic Innovation in Academic Technology and Instructional Support (Office of the SUNY Provost). Lisa leads all operational aspects of the Innovative Instruction Technology Grants (IITG) program, a SUNY-wide initiative designed to foster and openly share instructional innovations in support of Open SUNY; and also coordinates the SUNY Wide Coursera Partnership.

Lisa also serves as Project Director of FLEXspace: the Flexible Learning Environments eXchange, an open access repository of learning space designs and best practices.

She co-chairs the University at Buffalo Faculty Senate Teaching & Learning Committee and is immediate past-chair of the SUNY Faculty Advisory Council on Teaching & Technology (FACT2). She enjoys an adjunct assistant professor appointment in the department of Communication.

When not writing, working or connecting people together in service to students, she can be found sailing on Lake Ontario.
