The NMC is excited to share that Washington College (WC) is the latest higher education institution to join the NMC. Please help us welcome them into our community of education thought WashingtonCollegeCrestleaders! Located in the Maryland Eastern Shore, Washington College was founded in 1782 to engage students with “all hands on learning” in the liberal arts. Approximately 1,400 undergraduate students from 35 states and 40 nations attend WC, making the student to faculty ratio 12:1. As a result, learners share a deep bond with their professors.

Washington College is steeped in tradition — George Washington was a founding patron. Additionally, campus leaders are always looking to the future. WC’s mission is to challenge and inspire emerging citizen leaders to discover lives of purpose and passion. The goal is for their enduring values of
critical thinking, effective communication, and moral courage to be ingrained in every student to move the world.
