Real-World Learning

Universities, schools, libraries, and museums are all tasked with creating authentic learning experiences that are relevant to what is happening in the real world. In order to gain essential 21st century skills such as critical thinking and creativity, learners must be engaged in activities that deepen their knowledge beyond pure fact memorization and allow them to actively demonstrate what they are learning. Simulations, makerspaces, work and apprenticeship programs, challenge-based learning, and entrepreneurial initiatives are just a few of the scenarios enabling real-world learning. Learn about projects and programs that are equipping learners with vital skills that prepare them to be successful in the workforce and as global citizens.
