NMC Summer Conference Track: Access and Equity

While technology has grown more pervasive in teaching, learning, and creative inquiry, not all institutions and individual learners have access to the latest devices and software. First-generation and minority students are often challenged by external factors and require special support, while learning institutions face budget constraints that prevent them from providing key services and tools. Furthermore, universal design for learning and educational technologies is now becoming an imperative to better accommodate disabled populations. In the face of these challenges, this pathway will explore projects, programs, and affordable technologies that are bolstering access to high-quality learning opportunities and equalizing the playing field for all learners of all backgrounds.
