Immersive Learning Environments Focus Session Beamed to NMC Campus

CDB Barkley (aka Alan Levine) : Mar 26, 2007 10:00pm

Tomorrow is the EDUCAUSE Focus Session on Immersive Learning Environments taking place in RL in Raleigh, North Carolina. If all goes well, we are going to try and bring the main sessions also into NMC Campus, by streaming audio from the sessions, and by having a few volunteers here, like JS Saltwalter, to help relay info to/from SL.

If you are interested in being a remote participant (e.g. you are not here in Raleigh), join us on NMC Campus at the open amphitheater on Learning (169,171,26)– to get there, try the map link or secondlife://Learning/169/171/26/. Remember that you need to join an NMC group before teleporting to NMC Campus.

For Tuesday, the main even will be the opening remarks and the first keynote on Generation G and the 21st Century by Richard Van Eyk (University of North Dakota), starting at about 11:00am PDT (if we remember to press the right button, we should have a recording available). You can find a tentative schedule on the Campus Guide wiki. The bulk of tomorrow is small breakouts that we will not cover, but there is a full schedule of events available on Wednesday (as long as it is not a Black Wednesday of updates. Does anyone know the schedule??)

Audio will be available on the music channel in Second Life.
