Monday Teacher Buzz: SL/Web Integration & Kisa’s Gadgets
CDB Barkley (aka Alan Levine) : Mar 1, 2007 10:04pm
Here’s a first reminder for the March 5 NMC Campus Teacher’s Buzz, which will take place at 9:00 AM PST (check your own local time) at her gallery on Steiger (SLURL).
We’ve been trying for a while to get Kisa Naumova to come and share some insight and demos on some of the cool SL gadgets she creates, such as the screen that plays slide shows from flickr sets:
And we will demo a nifty little script called “Twissle” that allows you to send IM messages from Second Life out to the web to the wildly addictive social network site, twitter (if this intrigues you, create a twitter account before the session).
In RL, Kisa is a teacher in Contemporary Art and Graphic Design at a University in Leeds. and has been a participant in previous NMC activities. The focus for the session, which we hope is as much discussion as cool demos, is “to try and spin something around SL as a development platform in its early stages, that’s ripe for play - rather than an environment you can pick off the shelf and bolt onto your teaching.”
Come and learn from Kisa!
