The heat isn’t the only challenge the NMC is ready to overcome this summer! The NMC is currently producing a publication that explores several of the most pressing challenges threatening equity and access in higher education in the US.

In the course of our digital learning initiative work, our community has uncovered eight major challenges that also have potential solutions in various stages of development. We aim to produce a publication that illuminates those challenges/solutions and want to include as diverse of a perspective as possible. The survey will close on August 10, 2016.

We aim for the publication to be a call to action to move the needle in US higher education to improve how the field supports low-income, first generation, and minority students with innovative solutions and 21st century practices. The report will be released at WCET’s 28th Annual Meeting in October 2016.
