Learning analytics has been featured in several past editions of the NMC Horizon Report, always cited as four to five years away from mainstream adoption ...until now. Last month, the NMC Horizon Project > 2012 Higher Education Advisory Board voted to place learning analytics in the mid-term horizon (two to three years away), which means that this emerging technology topic has gained some serious momentum.

The NMC Horizon Report > 2012 Higher Education Edition will be released in February and will provide insight on learning analytics and its impact on teaching, learning, and creative inquiry. The good news is that you don't have to wait until then to learn more. In collaboration with our partner NERLA, we put together a series of workshops and a webinar that explored the vast potential of learning analytics.
