University of Maryland, Baltimore County

UMBC combines the emphasis on teaching found at the best liberal arts colleges with the innovation of a research university. You’ll find students—inspired by and often working alongside faculty who are leaders in their fields—thinking about the hard questions of society, science and creative expression, and then moving beyond the classroom to make a difference. The Carnegie Foundation ranks UMBC in the category of Research Universities with high research activity.

The New Media Studio helps the campus community apply emerging media technologies in teaching, learning and creative endeavors. We work closely with campus clients to produce custom media solutions for the Web, multimedia and video.

The Studio includes a multimedia production lab, multiformat linear videotape editing suite, two nonlinear suites, field production unit and a television studio.
