Radford University Mac Users Wiki
The RU Mac Users Wiki went online spring 2006, and was developed by the Radford University Technology in Learning Center as a community resource for Mac users on campus. It was built using the MediaWiki engine (i.e., Wikipedia) by TLC Assistant Director Charley Cosmato, and in the time since content has grown exponentially as a result of member contributions.
Even though this wiki is designed with our campus community in mind, anyone can join, use and contribute to it. Users can find help on topics including OS X apps, iLife, Final Cut Pro, Mac maintenance and iPods by either browsing 'Useful Docs' or searching by topic.
The RU Mac Users Wiki is accessible at:
Apple 2007 Insomnia Film Festival
Posted September 27th, 2007 by Don HendersonApple's Insomnia Film Festival is back—and while the world sleeps, you could be making film history.
This competition is open to teams who will have 24 hours to produce a three minute, award wining video.
On Saturday, October 13 at 9:00 a.m. (Eastern time), we’ll post a top-secret list of elements — special props, dialogue, settings — you get the idea. Choose any three to include in your movie. Then all you and your team have to do is write, cast, shoot, edit, score, and upload your 3-minute masterpiece within 24 hours. No problem, right?

Posted April 25th, 2007 by Don Henderson
One concept. One photo. One insane day.
The first ever Insomnia Photo Festival challenges you to shoot the perfect picture in just one day. On Friday, April 27 at 5 p.m. Eastern (2 p.m. Pacific), we will post a photography assignment for you to complete. From that time, you will have 24 hours to finish and submit your ideal image.
After the entries are posted to our web gallery, we will make them available for the public to view and rate. The top 25 highest rated photos through May 16, 2007, will then be judged by our panel of experts.
