2008 NMC Summer Conference Program

The 2008 NMC Summer Conference offers attendees an extensive range of sessions and activities from which to choose, including keynote addresses from three outstanding speakers - Diana Oblinger, President, EDUCAUSE, Henry Jenkins, the Director of the MIT Comparative Media Studies Program and the Peter de Florez Professor of Humanities and Wole Soboyejo, Director of the U.S./Africa Materials Institute, and the Director of the Undergraduate Research Program at The Princeton Institute of Science and Technology Materials; the annual Center of Excellence Awards; Five Minutes of Fame; Poster Sessions judged

Registration is now open for the 2008 NMC Summer Conference, hosted by Princeton University in Princeton, New Jersey!

Registration for the 2008 NMC Summer Conference is now open!

Please use our online form to submit your conference registration. To access the registration form, you must have or will need to create an account on the NMC web site. If you have an NMC web site account and have not already done so, log in now. Otherwise, you can create your own NMC account now that will allow you to submit your registration.

Please note that when registering, each individual attendee must login with their user name and password and register themselves. The registration system is tied to the individual membership records and group registrations are not allowed.

Be sure when logged in to edit your profile (via the My Account link on the left) so we have your correct mailing address, phone number, and contact information.

Hands-on Breakout Sessions

Hands-on sessions are a central focus of NMC conferences and attendees will have the opportunity to learn a wide range of new skills and software in these special sessions. Seating for hands-on sessions is limited and as in the past, admittance requires pre-registration and a ticket.

Please note, that you should register for the hands-on session tickets now! We have changed the structure of issuing tickets and the early bird gets the worm this year!

The NMC Symposium on Mashups

This Symposium is the eleventh in the NMC's Series of Online Symposia and will take place April 1-3, 2008 in both 3D and flat web environments.

The theme of this symposium draws from the 2008 Horizon Report and a pre-conference white paper to focus on topics of educational uses of mashups.

When making your reservation please be sure to mention that you are with the "New Media Consortium" group to receive your special rates.
