2013 Summer Conference Call for Proposals

When submitting a proposal, each individual must login with their user name and password. The proposal system is tied to the individual membership records, but you will be able to add accounts for co-presenters. Be sure when logged in to edit your profile (via the My Account link on the top right) so we have your correct mailing address, phone number, and contact information.

THE NMC WANTS YOU to present at the 2013 Summer Conference... the Call for Proposals is now open...so start thinking now of ideas/projects/programs you may want to share this June. Besides regular breakout sessions, you can submit an idea for a preconference workshop, a poster/interactive/art show demonstration, or you can consider preparing a segment for the trade-marked Five Minutes of Fame session.

Important: Before submitting a proposal, please review the proposal guidelines.

The Call for Proposals is Now Closed!

This year, the conference will have around 30 breakout sessions, compared to over 90 that we have had in the past.  The proposal review committee will be much more selective due to the limited sessions.   Please ensure that your proposal submission is compelling, creative, thought provoking, and complete.  Expert sessions and panels representing a pro/con type of debate are strongly encouraged.

Conference Session Paths

This year's program focuses on six session paths:

  • Create
  • Explore
  • Imagine
  • Play
  • Reflect
  • Transform

Session Types

The types of sessions you can submit a proposal for include:

  • Preconference Workshops
  • Breakout Sessions
  • Five Minutes of Fame
  • Idea Lab

If you have any questions, please contact Nancy House at nancy@nmc.org or call 512-733-1670.
