Institute Day 1 |
On Day One, digital storytelling was introduced
with samples of prior students work and analyzing strengths
and weaknesses of various pieces. Trainers discussed with
attendees their own project plans, preparation of material
including scripting, rough source material selection and storyboarding.
There was also an overview to Premiere software and procedure
for preparing still images in Photoshop. Each attendee was scheduled for input of source material to individual workstations,
scanning and sizing images in Photoshop, capturing soundtrack
audio and video, and recording voiceovers. |

Institute Day 2 |
Day Two was a training a practice day where
attendees learned to:
• Review and re-write scripts
• Finish recording voice-overs
• Begin rough edit in Premiere |

Institute Day 3 |
On Day Three, attendees worked on finalizing
their projects by:
• Continuing to edit in Premiere
• Complete second edit where attendees will explore special effects
for their work in Premiere including image pan, motion,
superimpostions, transparency and titles.
• Final edit and review where attendees will complete editing and
make a snapshot of the final version of their digital story for session
presentation during the NMC Summer Conference. |
