Three-Day Digital Storytelling Institute

Presented by the Center for Digital Storytelling
Monday, June 4 through Wednesday, June 6

Whether you are a multimedia novice or a professional, this 3-day Institute, conducted by the Center for Digital Storytelling, is a great introduction to working with digital imaging and digital video software.

The Institute will run from Monday, June 4 through Wednesday, June 6, and includes hands-on instruction to Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Premiere as well as script and storyboard development. Center for Digital Storytelling Staff will provide each attendee with specific assistance on their projects, including design, scripting, and other issues regarding the use of the digital story. Attendees will complete a 3-5 minute piece which will be output to CD ROM, DVD and/or VHS after the completion of the class.

Three-Day 3D and Stereoscopic Institute

Presented by Albert William and Clinton Koch, IUPUI
Monday, June 4 through Wednesday, June 6

This three-day institute will teach attendees how to create computer generated images for use in a stereoscopic format. Using Maya, participants will model, texture, animate, and light objects and create their own individual environment scene or collaborate with other members of the class. These scenes will be set up with stereoscopic cameras and batch renders will be performed so that image sequences may be assembled into stereo movies. Attendees will receive assistance in all aspects of the pre-production, production, and post-production stereoscopic pipeline to create an animated final project. The final formats will be available as a passive stereo movie, and a standard multimedia format. All productions will be unique, and the experience will be capped off with a show and tell session.
