| 10th Annual NMC Summer Conference June 11 - 14, 2003 Virginia Tech University, Blacksburg Virginia
The 2003 NMC Summer Conference, one of higher education's
most unique technology-focused events, will be held June 11-14 in
Blacksburg, Virginia. Hosting this year's meeting is Virginia Tech,
more formally known as Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State
University. This year, in addition to the kinds of sessions, training,
and events that have made the conference a stand out in past years,
the NMC celebrates its 10th anniversary and a number of special
activities are planned to recognize that milestone.
For NMC members, the annual NMC Summer Conference is the key opportunity to meet face-to-face, attend hands-on training, and participate in highly interactive discussions about emerging technologies, best practices, campus challenges, innovation, and pedagogy. The program will focus on four key tracks: Tools and Techniques; Best Practices, Challenges & Issues; Emerging Technologies; and Technological Leadership and Management Effectiveness. The popular Five Minutes of Fame will return again, as will the prestigious Centers of Excellence Awards. As part of the conference, a design competition for a special full-color poster honoring the 10th anniversary of the NMC has been opened to all students, faculty, and staff in NMC member institutions. See the contest web pages for details, prizes, and submission information. Make plans now to attend this one of a kind conference!
