Session Description
Since 2006, faculty and students in Computer Science and Journalism at The College of New Jersey have collaborated to develop custom content management systems. They have produced one CMS for publishing a news magazine, and another for capturing data on the disposition of gun cases. A third project involved supporting an initiative to introduce middle schoolers to computer science using journalism. The presenters will describe the collaboration, present the content management systems, and share lessons for educators and industry leaders.
