Session Description
Assessing creative fields is challenging. The presenters constructed a rubric system that fits many New Media fields by interviewing Interactive Design and Game Development faculty. Interviews were structured by developmental principles that generate four strategies:
• beginning attempts – neither grow nor compete,
• easy learning – grows fast without competing,
• practical skills – grow and compete moderately,
• inspiring contributions – grow slow and compete strongly.
An interactive presentation enables participants to use these rubrics and adapt the process to their situations.
