[edit] About NMConnect
CONNECT THE DOTS! Dots tell the stories of the artists; the walks between the worlds illustrate more of the connections in this group art experience. Built on the New Media Consortium Campus for Second Life by In Kenzo of AMO Studio, NMConnect features over 50 art installations from a dozen countries built collaboratively in the virtual world. Explore expression from the comfort of your computer.
Six theme areas over 5 sims illustrate the fundamental ideas that bind us together as networks and forces in the world. We come together around LOVE, PEACE, BEAUTY, CHAOS, TRUTH and WISDOM to explore over 50 installations from many of Second Life's most accomplished artists. Visit as professors, installation artists and sculptors, filmmakers and media presenters, performance groups and awareness teams make their connections clear at NMConnect.
[edit] Connect beyond Second Life
Post your photos on Flickr or other communities! Tag NMConnect: the best archive submission to the web will win an AMO PrizePak!
Join hundreds of artists, educators, designers and researchers in a visual symposium for Second Life: NMConnect. Structures of artistic expression in every medium will be linked and combined to tell new stories on how we bond within our shared new worlds. How do you connect the dots?
[edit] How to Participate
Any art that can be translated and created within Second Life may be considered for installation; please inquire by email if you would like to share your work inworld. Groupings of 2D, 3D, video and interactive elements will be combined to tell stories on six major themes: Love, Peace, Beauty, Truth, Chaos, Wisdom. Performances and discussions around these common themes will bind us into new collaborations as we participate in these networks of creative illumination.
Over three days the NMC Campus will host seven forums on the structures of creative social networks building within these emerging new media. Sessions include:
- Better World Building: Real World Action: Hosted by Sue Stonebender
[1] for blog and podcast links
- Flow and Nurture: Creating Healthy Systems: Hosted by Yes Bright and Artemystic

- Art and Energy: Hosted by In Kenzo and R7 Terry for GhettoTech, reschedule and video release TBD
